In both the sequel and the original, Legally Blonde’s character Elle woods wears a Tiffany’s heart necklace. Throughout the search for Legally Blonde’s Elle Woods for the musical version, each of the ‘Elle’s’ were presented with a necklace replica.  Reese Witherspoon plays Elle Woods in the movie and she wants nothing more than to be the bride of Warner Huntington. The only thing that prevents him from making a wedding proposal to her is the fact that her hair is too blonde. Blair Waldorf, one of the main characters from the Gossip Girl popular television series is a fan of movies that star Audrey Hepburn. She has a dream in which Chuck gives a diamond necklace to Blair on her birthday. This particular series is called Seventeen candles. In the show, since she loved Tiffany’s so much; the misconception was that the diamond necklace came from Tiffany’s. Gossip Girl is set on New York’s Upper East Side and follows the lives of teenagers who are privileged. For instance, Serena Van Der Woodsen is a beautiful, blonde socialite and even if Blair Waldorf and Serena are best friends, it is usually always about Serena and not anyone else. Blair’s boyfriend is Nate Archibald but since Serena returned home to New York from school overseas, Nate has acted strange. This show is a guilty pleasure as you follow the lives of Daniel Humphrey, a nobody from Brooklyn as well as rich, arrogant Chuck Bass.

 

The Clique

The Clique series ninth novel is entitled Bratfest at Tiffany’s which came out in the best selling series of the New York Times. In the book, bracelets by Tiffany’s & Co were worn by the primary characters. The clique is composed of Massie Block, Alicia Rivera, Claire Lyons and Kristen Gregory. Released in 2004, The Clique was written by Lisi Harrison and is the first book in a novel series. Massie Block is the uncontested Clique ruler with a laser white smile and glossy hair. She also rules the OCD social scene, which is a private girl’s exclusive school in New York’s Westchester Country. She knows you would do almost everything just to be in her shoes.

 

Breakfast at Tiffany’s

A 1958 Truman Capote novella features Holly Golightly, the protagonist, which continuously refers to the Tiffany Store as the world’s best place where no bad thing can happen. This novella by Capota was later made into an iconic 1961 film with the same title.  Based on the novel by Truman Capote, this is a tale set in New York City. A young woman meets a young man who is seeing an older, wealthier woman. He also wants to make a living writing. In the meantime, she is searching for an older, rich man to marry and at the moment, works as an expensive escort.

 

Diamonds Are Forever

This James Bond 1956 novel features a love interest of Bond named Tiffany Case. In the film which was featured in 1971, the character, which also happens to be the first Bond girl in the world, makes an explanation that she was named after the store Tiffany’s & Co.

 

Gentlemen Prefer Blondes

A movie from the year 1953, Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, the star of the show Marilyn Monroe sings a song which mentions Tiffany’s two times. The song title is Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend. In the movie, a beautiful show girls played by Marilyn Monroe is set to marry Gus Esmond, a wealthy bachelor. The rich father of Gus disapproves of the marriage since he thinks that Monroe’s character Lorelei Lee may just be after his money. Lorelei and her best friend Dorothy then go on a cruise when a private detective Ernie Malone is hired by the father of the would-be groom to report and follower her for any behavior that is questionable.
