THE STORY BEHIND: A wedding gift from Jean Guerrand, Émile Hermès’ son-in-law, to one of his future daughters-in-law, this day-to-night clutch has a full-grained leather H heart. Named after the initials of its inventor, the Jige has been, since 1975, a symbol of union of love, as illustrated by its delicate, pared-down H clasp.
