Federico Jimenez Sterling Silver Oaxaca " Silver Doves" Wedding Necklace

This is one of those necklaces where you truly have to appreciate what the hands of an artisan can do. All through out, each section is beautifully made, with a pouring of love & romance written all over it! Just look at the main star of the show & how elegant these doves are made! What is about this area of the necklace, is the filigree work that sits to the bottom of the doves, and repousse work that acts as their elaborate long feathered tails along with the drop down pendant as well(See photos). There are an additional 8 hand-tooled flower and butterfly panels on either side of the main centerpiece. It has a secure hook closure.

Called a "Mexican Wedding necklace",but don't let that make you feel limited, since you don't have to be getting married to wear it! Any day will be special when you step out with this on!

In Mexico there are different styles of filigree & with that said, even though this is a Oaxaca necklace, This style of filigree is actually known to come from Chiapas. Normally we see filigree to be very lacy with lots of open space, but with this type, the wires are soldered together & are precisely looped to perfection & sit in what appears to be in a bezel..
