Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver & Micro Inlay Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace

This vintage peyote bird squash blossom necklace is created from cast silver with recesses painstakingly filled with chip inlay of turquoise stones. 10 birds replace the traditional blossom placement with a large 3 bird naja pendant. The center triple shank naja measures 2.25" x 2.25"and the smaller birds measure 1-1/8" x 1" With the emerging market for Native American chip inlay, this piece is sure to be a valuable addition to any serious jewelry collection.

History: The peyote bird, sometimes referred to as “snake bird” or “water turkey,” was originally associated with the Native American Church and the ritual use of peyote in their ceremonies.
