We are offering this Old Pawn Santo Domingo Heishi Jacla necklace featuring a Double Jacla! Beautiful Vintage Santo Domingo Heishi Jacla necklace, all hand strung with breathtaking blues & greens of turquoise nuggets alongside tan Heishi and white shells and some small oxblood coral beads as well. There is also a sterling silver chain and 2 traditional sterling cones! This amazing necklace is extremely old thus a hand woven cord! A collectors dream.

Jacla: Navajo "ear string", traditional Pueblo jewelry adornement, a Jacla is two loops of Heishi that were originally earrings and sometimes fastened to the bottom of a stone necklace as a pendant-like attachment.

Heishi: Santo Domingo word meaning "shell", traditionally referred to shell beads. However, today this term is used to describe tiny, handmade beads of any material.
